Starbucks is partnering with a design-driven accessories brand, Herschel Supply Co., for a limited-edition merchandise collection available exclusively at Starbucks® stores in Asia again. Their 1st collaboration was only with Starbucks China in the year 2018.
Thoughtfully designed for eco-conscious customers on-the-go, the Starbucks® X Herschel Supply collection includes an assortment of stylish bags made from recycled plastic and drinkware featuring bold colours and eye-catching messages focused on sustainability. Combining timeless design and premium quality, the Starbucks® X Herschel Supply designer collaboration proves quality and self-expression don’t need to come at the cost of a sustainable lifestyle. The collection’s unique designs embody style and authenticity while giving recycled material a second life.
The limited-edition designer collaboration will be available starting April 24 at select Starbucks® Designer Series stores (*Jaya Shopping Centre, Johor Bahru City Square, Mid Valley (Level G), Bandar Utama (Old Wing), KLCC (Level 3), Berjaya Times Square (Level 1), Juru Auto City, Bangsar Village 2 (Signing Store), Cameron Highlands, PLUS Drive-Thru, Tanjong Tokong Drive-Thru, Melaka Raya, Rawang R&R Drive-Thru, Kota Kemuning Drive-Thru, Medan Gopeng, Icon City Drive-Thru, Batu Ferringhi, Ansa Hotel, Aman Central, Sunway Pyramid (Level G), Ampang Drive-Thru, SkyAvenue, Desa Parkcity, City Mall Kota Kinabalu, The Spring, Bintang Plaza Miri, Oceanus Waterfront Mall) and across Asia while supplies last.
The words “reuse”, “recycle” and the universal symbol for recycling are repeated throughout the collection, with orange and green accents for a fun pop of colour. Reinforcing this message of sustainable fashion is the fact that the bags are all made from recycled plastic.
Hailing from Canada, Herschel Supply Co. is most famous for its backpacks. While the beloved-by-VSCO-girls Kanken backpacks are known for their wide assortment of colours, Herschel Supply’s popular backpacks are those in more minimalist tones.
The Starbucks x Herschel Supply Co. Classic XL Backpack reflects that aesthetic. The majority of the bag is in camo black & grey colourway with the front storage pocket sporting both brands’ logos with strong neon orange strings as the zipper. A typical Herschel Supply Co. Classic XL Backpack measures 17.5 inches x 12.5 inches x 6 inches. It also usually includes a 15-inch laptop sleeve and dual water bottle pockets with classic woven Starbucks® and Herschel Supply Co. label & black fabric liner with tonal HSC all-over print and with air mesh back padding and reinforced base. It's definitely roomy enough for school and to bring along on your travels (after MCO of course!).
The collection also includes a pouch based on Herschel Supply Co.’s Chapter Travel Kit in the same fabric. The carrying handle is in bright orange, allowing you to spot and carry it easily. Convenient carrying orange fabric handle with a striped fabric liner, waterproof zipper detailed main compartment and front zippered pocket with orange pebbled leather. This typical Chapter travel kit measures 6 inches x 9.5 inches x 4.5 inches. It has a main compartment and an internal mesh storage sleeve. While it is usually meant for storing your passport, camera, sunglasses and other holiday essentials, the pouch can also be used while you’re working from home (eg. hard disk, power bank, cables, etc).
Another item meant for your travels that could easily fit into your essential items like phone, passport, a power bank is the Starbucks x Herschel Supply Co. This tote has a smaller compartment in it where you can keep phone and card case in it. And as its name suggests, it is long enough to keep your laptop, work documents and many other kinds of stuff.
